Wes Fischer, President & Founder
With nearly three decades of experience in the health insurance industry, Wes Fischer is one of Florida’s leading experts on the industry. As president and owner of Fischer Services, Fischer oversees more than 500 agents throughout Central Florida and the daily operations of the company. The firm specializes in individual coverage, primarily in the Medicare and ACA Exchange markets. His firm was one of the first agencies to work in the ACA exchange market, helping nearly 30,000 clients receive new coverage.
Fischer graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in finance from Florida International University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. After graduation, Fischer worked for Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Whinney, performing audit and consulting services for health care providers. After that, Fischer was the Florida Hospital Association’s Vice President of Shared Services and the President of Tanguay & Fischer Associates, Inc which specialized in self-funded and employee benefit plans for health care providers.
Fischer founded The Health Insurance Store, Inc in 1992, in which a brokerage was formed and later was rebranded Fischer Services. He has navigated tens of thousands of clients and agents through numerous health care reform efforts and is passionate in speaking on how health care reform will impact individuals and employer groups.
Fischer lives in St. Cloud, Florida with his wife, Vicki. His daughter, Cassandra Fischer, has now joined the company and oversees all marketing efforts of the agency.
Cassandra Fischer, VP Marketing & Business Development
Cassandra Fischer became a licensed agent in 2008. With her broad experience in Sales and Marketing, she now oversees all aspects of Marketing for the company. Her willingness to thrive in this industry drives her to share her knowledge and provide agents with the powerful tools they need to succeed. Cassandra specializes in strategic marketing and business development in the Medicare and Individual market. She works alongside agents to help them develop marketing strategies and foster partnerships to be successful in all markets.
Dee Cintron, Operations Manager
Dee joined the company in 2002 and started off in customer service. She became a certified agent in 2007 before being appointed the company’s Operations Manager. Dee specializes in Medicare Supplemental and Medicare Advantage plans. Dee has had many roles in the organization throughout the years which allows her to have a greater understanding of the interworkings of the agency. Her experience is in Sales, Commissions, Certifications, Compliance, Security, Contracting, Enrollment, and Training. She is a key asset to the company and continues to oversee operations at the Agent Resource Center.
Cassie Wilson, Senior Agency Manager
Cassie joined the company in January of 2014 and became a licensed agent shortly after. She brings to our agency more than 10 years of experience working for multiple corporations in various training roles. As our Senior Agency Manager, Cassie is responsible for creating and conducting our agent trainings as well as offering agent support. She also oversees the certifications department and our referral programs. In 2016 Cassie formed our insurance school and is responsible for developing our CE classes.
Jeannette Tavarez, Senior Executive Administrator
Jeannette joined the company in 2014. She brings over 10 years of management experience to the agency. Jeannette has in-depth knowledge and experience in Accounting which makes her an ideal fit to oversee our Accounting and Commission departments. Jeannette has thrived with the agency and we are thrilled to have her as a part of the Senior Management Team at Fischer Services.
